Not So Pampered Pampering

So as I said in my last post on Tuesday I got a haircut, and it is not so good. The cut itself is not bad but the color is. I was daring and went to someone new and buy was it a mistake. I thought it would be fine, her hair looked nice, and she saw the color of my previous highlights and said that the new highlights would be a warm color to match what I already had. Normally my highlights are pretty natural looking, they are not that far off of my hair color and blend in pretty well. My new hair color is not natural looking and really streaky. She added highlights and low lights. The highlights are like a platinum blond, and the low lights are darker than my hair was to begin with. Basically I think my head looks like a white tiger. OK, so it is probably not really that bad but to me it is. My husband keeps saying he likes it, but I think he is trying to be nice. He says he is way to honest to try to be nice but I think he knows I am upset and wants to make me feel better. I know my Mom will be honest, she is not very good at masking the truth. I keep hoping that I am just not used to it and it will grow on me, but it is not working. Every time I pass a mirror I hate it more. Hopefully the color will die down with a few more washings, or I can find someone out here to fix it, otherwise I will be waiting until I go back to TX for Thanksgiving to have my old guy fix it. I tried to get my Mom to put him in her suitcase.

Oh no! I feel your pain. I once had my hair colored and highlighted before my best friend's wedding. I had wanted to wear my hair up.... I had gone to this person many times, but she was distracted or something and the highlights were not to my roots. There was an inch or better of hair without highlights. I went back to her the next day and she "fixed" it, but it was the same, so I had to wear my hair down because the worst of it was at the front around my face...

Wash it a lot...it will come out faster. If it's horrible, go get a box of natural match or something and cover it until you can go somewhere else...
